Andrea C. Baur, chitarrone

Andrea Cordula Baur was born 1969 in Neustadt a.d. Weinstrasse.
She studied lute and recorder at the Music College in Würzburg with Bernhard Böhm und Dieter Kirsch. After her recorder diploma, she transferred to the Music College in Trossingen and completed a postgraduate in lute instruments with Rolf Lislevand. She has taken part in numerous master classes with, among others, Jürgen Hübscher and Nigel North.
Under the direction of conductors such as William Christie, Philippe Pierlot, John Holloway and Charles Toet, the lutanist performs as soloist and accompanist throughout Europe in concerts and opera productions. She is a member of several chamber music ensembles and since 2000 has been working as accompanist for the Early Music Summer Academy in Innsbruck, Austria.
